Pursuant to Article 6, the Inaugural Ministerial Council Meeting (Denpasar, 9 February 1991) amended Articles 4.4, 28.2, 44.1, 44.2, 45.1, 45.2 and 45.3 of the Petroleum Mining Code and Subsections 4.7, 7.3 and 7.9 of the Model Production Sharing Contract.
The Sixth Ministerial Council Meeting (Brisbane, 20 October 1995) amended Articles 28.1, 28.2 and 45.1 of the Petroleum Mining Code and Subsections 4.2 and 4.4 of the Model Production Sharing Contract.
Notes: Australia recognized the de jure incorporation of East Timor as the 27th province of Indonesia between 1976 and 1999. By United Nations Security Council Resolution 1272(1999) of 25 October 1999, the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET) assumed responsibility for administration of East Timor from that date.
An Exchange of Letters constituting an Understanding between the Government of Australia and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (Jakarta-Canberra, 25 May-1 June 2000) confirmed that the Treaty ceased to be in force when Indonesian authority over East Timor transferred to the United Nations.
