ABOUT THE EDITORS

Jan Wouters is Jean Monnet Chair ad personam, full professor of inter-
national law and international organizations and director of the Leuven
Centre for Global Governance Studies and the Institute for International
Law at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). He is also visiting profes-
sor at the College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium), Sciences Po (Paris, France)
and Luiss University (Rome, Italy), where he teaches European Union
external relations law. Professor Wouters has published widely on inter-
national and European law and global governance, including around 50
books, 100 international journal articles and 150 chapters in international
books with major international publishers.
Antoon Braeckman is full professor in contemporary political philosophy
and co-ordinator of the Centre for Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy
at the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Leuven (KU Leuven).
He is a senior member of the Leuven Centre for Global Governance
Studies.
Matthias Lievens is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Ethics,
Social and Political Philosophy of the University of Leuven (KU Leuven)
and a lecturer in legal philosophy at Tilburg Law School, Tilburg University
(Netherlands). He studied political science, philosophy, anthropology
and history, and defended a PhD in philosophy entitled `Spectres of the
Political: Uncovering the Metapolitical in Carl Schmitt' at KU Leuven. He
has published in journals such as Constellations, Contemporary Political
Theory and Philosophy and Social Criticism.
