Primary Legal Materials on the Internet

BAILI (British and Irish Legal Information Institute) comprehensive starting point for accessing primary materials in these jurisdictions. The time frame for decisions is variable, and coverage of legislation is patchy but has the "promise" of comprehensiveness. Developed in conjunction with AustLII so the interface will be familiar to Australian researchers.

Environmental Law

The Biosafety Protocol: "The Biosafety Protocol (Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety) was adopted by more than 130 countries on January 29, 2000, in Montreal, Canada. Upon entry into force, this first Protocol to the Convention on Biological Diversity will provide a framework for addressing environmental impacts of bioengineered products (referred to as living modified organisms or "LMOs") that cross international borders.
