Legislative Assembly Precincts Amendment Bill 2002

A Bill for

An Act to amend the Legislative Assembly Precincts Act 2001

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

1 Name of Act

This Act is the Legislative Assembly Precincts Amendment Act 2002.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day after its notification day.

Note The naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3 Act amended

This Act amends the Legislative Assembly Precincts Act 2001.

4 Removal of people

New section 9 (5)

insert

(5) The Speaker may delegate the Speaker’s functions under this section to—

(a) the sergeant-at-arms for the Assembly; or

(b) the principal attendant for the Assembly.
