A Bill for

An Act to amend the Territory Records Act 2002

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

1 Name of Act

This Act is the Territory Records Amendment Act 2007.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day after its notification day.

Note The naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3 Legislation amended

This Act amends the Territory Records Act 2002.

4 Section 2

Part 3 (Access to records) commences on 1 July 2008.

5 Section 58

58 Review of Act

(1) The Minister must review the operation of this Act as soon as practicable after 1 July 2009.

(2) The Minister must present a report on the outcome of the review to the Legislative Assembly not later than 1 July 2010.

(3) This section expires on 31 December 2010.
