Australian Capital Territory Current Acts Australian Capital Territory Current Acts(1) A person who assaults another person is guilty of an offence punishable, on conviction, by imprisonment for 2 years.
(2) However, for an aggravated offence against this section, the maximum penalty is imprisonment for 3 years.
