Australian Capital Territory Current Acts Australian Capital Territory Current Acts(1) The commissioner may declare a stated place in the ACT as a place where voters may cast an ordinary or declaration vote before polling day (an early polling place ).
(2) If the commissioner makes a declaration under subsection (1), the declaration must also state the days and times the early polling place will be operational during the period—
(a) beginning on the 2nd Monday before polling day or, if that Monday is a public holiday, the next business day; and
(b) ending at 8 pm on the day before polling day.
(3) A declaration is a notifiable instrument.
