ELECTORAL ACT 1992 - SECT 142

If an officer is satisfied that—

        (a)     an application for declaration voting papers for postal voting; or

        (b)     the declaration or certificate in completed declaration voting papers;

contains a formal error, the officer may amend the application, declaration or certificate to correct the error.
