Australian Capital Territory Current Acts Australian Capital Territory Current Acts(1) As soon as practicable after polling day for an election, the commissioner shall send a default notice to each elector who was required to vote at the election and appears to the commissioner to have failed to do so.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to an elector who the commissioner is satisfied—
(a) is dead; or
(b) had a valid and sufficient reason for failing to vote at the election.
