ELECTORAL ACT 1992 - SECT 187A

Application for recount of ballot papers etc

    (1)     A candidate for an election may apply to the commissioner for a recount of some or all of the ballot papers for the election.

    (2)     The application must—

        (a)     be in writing; and

        (b)     set out the reasons for the requested recount.

    (3)     The commissioner must—

        (a)     arrange for the requested recount; or

        (b)     refuse to arrange for the requested recount.
