ELECTORAL ACT 1992 - SECT 287

Influencing votes of hospital and nursing home patients

The proprietor of a hospital or nursing home, or an employee or agent of such a proprietor, shall not, without reasonable excuse, do anything for the purpose of influencing the vote of a patient or resident of the hospital or nursing home.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units, imprisonment for 6 months or both.
