ELECTORAL ACT 1992 - SECT 328

If—

        (a)     an officer is required by this Act to do an act at a specified time or within a specified period; and

        (b)     an officer other than the commissioner refuses or fails to do the act at that time or within that period;

the commissioner may grant an extension of time (not exceeding 48 hours) within which the act may be done.
