Australian Capital Territory Current Acts Australian Capital Territory Current Acts(1) The commissioner may give a copy of a roll or information contained on a roll to a prescribed authority if the commissioner is satisfied that the authority requires the copy or information for a prescribed purpose.
(2) A person shall not use information obtained under subsection (1) except in accordance with the regulations.
Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units, imprisonment for 6 months or both.
(3) For the Juries Act 1967
, the commissioner shall, on request by the sheriff, give the sheriff a copy of the roll of electors of the ACT.
(4) A copy of a roll, or information, may be given to a person under subsection (1) or (3) in printed or electronic form or on microfiche.
(5) A copy of a roll, or information, provided under subsection (1) or (3) shall not include—
(a) in relation to a person whose address is a suppressed address—any particulars other than the name of the person; or
(b) the address of an eligible overseas elector; or
(c) the address of an Antarctic elector.
(6) The regulations may provide for how a prescribed authority may deal with information, or information obtained from a copy of a roll, provided under subsection (1).
