Australian Capital Territory Current Regulations Australian Capital Territory Current RegulationsA person conducting a business or undertaking at a workplace that uses, handles, generates or stores hazardous chemicals must ensure that equipment is always available at the workplace for use in an emergency.
Maximum penalty:
(a) in the case of an individual—$6 000; or
(b) in the case of a body corporate—$30 000.
Note 1 Strict liability applies to each physical element of each offence under this regulation, unless otherwise stated (see s 6A).
Note 2 A person conducting a business or undertaking must comply with div 3.2.4.
