Australian Capital Territory Current Regulations Australian Capital Territory Current Regulations(1) A person conducting a business or undertaking at a workplace must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that a lead process area at the workplace is kept clean.
Maximum penalty:
(a) in the case of an individual—$6 000; or
(b) in the case of a body corporate—$30 000.
Note Strict liability applies to each physical element of each offence under this regulation, unless otherwise stated (see s 6A).
(2) The person must ensure that the methods used to clean a lead process area—
(a) do not create a risk to the health of persons in the immediate vicinity of the area; and
(b) do not have the potential to spread the contamination of lead.

(b) in the case of a body corporate—$30 000.
