The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Crimes Amendment Act 2005.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal
7
Assent.

Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or
10
repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule
11

concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect

according to its terms.

15XMA Requesting State agencies or Territory agencies to issue

evidence of assumed identities etc.

(1) An issuing agency that is a State agency of a particular State and

that receives a request under section 15XL must comply with the
4
request to the extent that the laws of the State require it to do so.

(2) An issuing agency that is a Territory agency of a particular
6
Territory and that receives a request under section 15XL must
7
comply with the request to the extent that the laws of the Territory
8
require it to do so.
