Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) This Act extends to the external Territories.
Application outside Australia
(2) This Act extends unless the contrary intention appears:
(a) to acts, omissions, matters and things outside Australia; and
(b) to all persons, irrespective of their nationality or citizenship.
(3) It is the intention of the Parliament that this Act apply to
the exclusion of any provisions of a law of a State or Territory that provide
for Australian citizenship (whether the law was made before or after the
commencement day).
