Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Section 49 does not apply for the purpose of determining
when a State reference public sector modern award comes into operation.
Instead, the modern award comes into operation on the day on which it is
expressed to commence, being a day that is not earlier than the day on which
the modern award is made.
