Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) An organization may apply, in accordance with the approved form, to the Minister for approval as an organization under this Part. The application must be signed in accordance with the regulations.
(2) The Minister may require an organization that makes an application under subsection (1) to furnish to him or her such further information in relation to the organization as the Minister requires.
(3) The Minister may approve an organization to which an application under subsection (1) relates and, if he or she does so, he or she shall, in the instrument of approval, fix a date (which may be a date earlier than the date of the approval) on and from which the approval has effect.
(4) An organization that was, immediately before this Act
receives the Royal Assent, entitled, by virtue of an authorization under
section 25 of the National Health Act 1953 - 1973 , to payments under
that section shall, on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent, be
deemed to have been approved by the Minister under subsection (3), but
that approval may be revoked by the Minister at any time.
