Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Secretary may, either generally or as otherwise provided by the instrument of delegation, in writing, delegate to the person occupying a specified office in the Foreign Affairs Department and Trade all or any of the Secretary's powers under subsection 10(1).
(2) A power delegated under subsection ( 1) shall, when exercised by the delegate, be deemed to have been exercised by the Secretary.
(3) The delegate is, in the exercise of a power delegated under subsection ( 1), subject to the directions of the Secretary.
(4) The delegation of a power under subsection ( 1) does not prevent the exercise of the power by the Secretary.
(5) In this section, Secretary means the Secretary of the
Foreign Affairs Department and Trade.
