Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated ActsIn addition to Part 4 - 6A, there are 4 other kinds of exemptions from the prohibitions in Division 3 of Part 4 - 11 on dealing in medical devices that are not included in the Register:
(a) medical devices exempted under the regulations;
(b) approval for medical devices to be used for special treatment of individuals or for experimental purposes;
(c) authorisation of health practitioners to supply specified medical devices;
(d) medical devices exempted if substitutes are unavailable or in short supply.
