Commonwealth Consolidated Regulations Commonwealth Consolidated Regulations(a) claims a Parliamentary seat for a person who has not been returned as a Senator or member of the House of Representatives; and
(b) claims that the person had a majority of valid votes;
each party must, at least 7 days before the date of the trial of a petition, file a list of the ballot - papers or classes of ballot - papers intended to be claimed or objected to.
(2) Subrule (1) does not apply if the petition only claims a fresh count of the votes counted at the election.
(3) If a party's list includes ballot - papers that are
objected to, the list must include the grounds of objection on which the party
intends to rely.
