CORPORATIONS ACT 2001 No. 50, 2001 - SECT 1002Q

Exception for bodies corporate

(1) A body corporate does not contravene subsection 1002G(2) by entering into a transaction or agreement in relation to securities of another body corporate merely because the first-mentioned body corporate is aware that it proposes to enter into or has previously entered into, one or more transactions or agreements in relation to securities of the other body corporate. (2) Subject to subsection (3), a body corporate does not contravene subsection 1002G(2) by entering into a transaction or agreement in relation to securities of another body corporate merely because an officer of the first-mentioned body corporate is aware that the first-mentioned body corporate proposes to enter into, or has previously entered into, one or more transactions or agreements in relation to securities of the other body corporate. (3) Subsection (2) does not apply unless the officer of the body corporate first-mentioned in that subsection became aware of the matters referred to in that subsection in the course of the performance of duties as such an officer.
