In this Part, unless the contrary intention appears:
"officer", in relation to a registered foreign company, includes a local agent
of the foreign company.
"property", in relation to a corporation, means property:
- (a)
- in the case of a company—in Australia or outside Australia; or
- (b)
- in the case of a registered foreign company—in this jurisdiction or
an external Territory; or
- (c)
- in the case of a registrable Australian body—in this jurisdiction but
outside the body's place of origin.
"receiver", in relation to property of a corporation, includes a
receiver and manager.
