CORPORATIONS ACT 2001 No. 50, 2001 - SECT 983A

ASIC's power to modify effect of claims Divisions

(1) ASIC may, in writing, declare that the provisions of a claims Division are to have effect in their application in relation to a particular transaction, or a particular class of transactions, either generally or as otherwise provided in the declaration, as if specified modifications were made to the provisions. (2) A declaration may relate to transactions whether entered into before or after the making of the declaration. (3) A declaration has effect accordingly. (4) ASIC must cause a copy of a declaration to be published in the Gazette . (5) A reference in this section to the provisions of a claims Division includes a reference to regulations made for the purposes of the provisions, or any of the provisions, of the Division. (6) In this section:

"claims Division" means Division 6, 6A, 6B, 6C, 7, 7A or 8.
