ENDANGERED SPECIES PROTECTION ACT 1992 No. 194 of 1992 - SECT 77

77.(1) The Director may assist a person (other than a Commonwealth agency) to
comply with prohibitions, restrictions or requirements imposed on a person by
a permanent conservation order.

(2) The assistance may take any one or more of the following forms:

   (a)  payment of money;

   (b)  provision of goods;

   (c)  provision of labour;

   (d)  provision of other services.

(3) The value of the assistance must not exceed that which the Director thinks
are the reasonable and direct costs of complying with the prohibitions,
restrictions or requirements in question.

(4) Assistance given under this section must be taken into account in
determining compensation payable under section 172.
