MOOMBA-SYDNEY PIPELINE SYSTEM SALE ACT 1994 No. 70, 1994 - SECT 142

Refusal to be sworn or to answer questions
142. (1) A person appearing as a witness before the TPC must not, without
reasonable excuse:

   (a)  refuse or fail to be sworn or to make an affirmation; or

   (b)  refuse or fail to answer a question that the person is required to
        answer by the TPC; or

   (c)  refuse or fail to produce a document that he or she was required to
        produce by a summons under this Part served on him or her as
        prescribed. Penalty: 60 penalty units.

(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), it is a reasonable excuse for a
person:

   (a)  to refuse or fail to answer a question because the answer to the
        question may tend to incriminate him or her; or

   (b)  to refuse or fail to produce a document because the production of the
        document may tend to incriminate him or her.
