Commonwealth Numbered Acts Commonwealth Numbered Acts(1) The owner of a vessel must not take the vessel to sea, or cause or permit the vessel to be taken to sea, unless the vessel has catering facilities that are arranged and equipped so as to enable proper meals to be served to the vessel's seafarers.
Fault-based offence
(2) A person commits an offence if the person contravenes subsection (1).
Penalty: 10 penalty units.
Civil penalty
(3) A person is liable to a civil penalty if the person contravenes subsection (1).
Civil penalty: 100 penalty units.
