TRADE PRACTICES ACT 1974 No. 51, 1974 - SECT 133

Minister to consult with shipowners before making reference.
133. The Minister shall not refer a matter to the Tribunal under section 132
unless he has first carried on, or endeavoured to carry on, either personally
or through officers acting on his behalf and with his authority, consultations
with the parties to the conference agreement concerned who carry on overseas
cargo shipping, or with the shipowner concerned, as the case requires, with a
view to securing such undertaking or action by those parties or by that
shipowner as will render the proposed reference unnecessary.
