TRADE PRACTICES ACT 1974 No. 51, 1974 - SECT 156

Inspection of documents by Commission.
156. (1) A member of the Commission, or a person authorized by a member of
the Commission, may inspect a document produced in pursuance of a notice under
section 155 and may make copies of, or take extracts from, the document.

(2) The Commission may, for the purposes of this Act, Commission. Ward
suffering retain for as long as is necessary for those purposes, possession of
a document produced in pursuance of a notice under section 155 but the person
otherwise entitled to possession of the document is entitled to be supplied,
as soon as practicable, with a copy certified by a member of the Commission
under his hand to be a true copy and the certified copy shall be received in
all courts as evidence as if it were the original.

(3) Until such a certified copy is supplied, the Commission shall, at such
times and places as it thinks appropriate, permit the person otherwise
entitled to possession of the document, or a person authorized by that person,
to inspect and make copies of or take extracts from the document.
