TRADE PRACTICES ACT 1974 No. 51, 1974 - SECT 82

82. (1) A person who suffers loss or damage by an act of another person that
was done in contravention of a provision of Part IV or V may recover the
amount of the loss or damage by action against that other person.

(2) An action under sub-section (1) may be commenced at any time within 3
years after the date on which the cause of action accrued.
