1979 No. 140 FEDERAL COURT RULES - RULE 11.12

Set-off
12. Where a claim by a respondent to a sum of money (whether of an ascertained
amount or not) is relied on as a defence to the whole or part of a claim made
by an applicant, it may be included in the defence and set off against the
applicant's claim, whether or not the respondent also cross-claims for that
sum of money.
