1979 No. 140 FEDERAL COURT RULES - RULE 24.1

Order for examination of witness-Forms 37, 38 and 39
1. The Court may, for the purpose of proceedings in the Court, make orders-

   (a)  for the examination of any person on oath before a Judge or before
        such other person as the Court may appoint as examiner at any place
        whether in or out of Australia; or

   (b)  for the sending of a letter of request to the judicial authorities of
        another country to take, or cause to be taken, the evidence of any
        person.
