                           EXPLANATORY NOTE


   (This Explanatory Note relates to this Bill as introduced into Parliament)
   The object of this Bill is to ensure that businesses providing funeral services
(including burial and cremation services) provide those services each day from
Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
  The Bill does not apply to cemeteries or crematoria managed by or on behalf of
public authorities or churches.
