ABORIGINAL LAND RIGHTS ACT 1983 - SECT 122

122 Timing of elections

(1) Elections of all councillors are to be held--

(a) not sooner than 3 years and 9 months, and

(b) not later than 4 years and 3 months,

after the previous election of all councillors.

(2) The Minister, in consultation with the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council, is in accordance with this section to determine a date for the election of all councillors and is to notify the returning officer of that date.
