BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SECURITY OF PAYMENT ACT 1999 - SECT 26E
Respondent to provide information about principal contractor
26E Respondent to provide information about principal contractor
(1) An adjudicator may, in connection with an adjudication application and at
the request of the claimant, direct the respondent to provide information to
the claimant as to the identity and contact details of any person who is a
principal contractor in relation to the claim.
(2) A respondent must comply
with a direction of an adjudicator under this section. : Maximum penalty--50
penalty units in the case of a corporation or 10 penalty units in the case of
an individual.
(3) A respondent must not, in purported compliance with a
direction of an adjudicator under this section, provide information that the
respondent knows is false or misleading in a material particular. : Maximum
penalty--50 penalty units in the case of a corporation or 10 penalty units in
the case of an individual.
