Money Bills to be recommended by Governor
46 Money Bills to be recommended by Governor
(1) It shall not be lawful for the Legislative Assembly to originate or pass
any vote, resolution, or Bill for the appropriation of any part of the
Consolidated Fund, or of any other tax or impost to any purpose which has not
been first recommended by a message of the Governor to the said Assembly
during the Session in which such vote, resolution, or Bill shall be passed.
(2) A Governor's message is not required under this section or under the
Standing Rules and Orders of the Legislative Assembly for a Bill introduced
by, or a vote or resolution proposed by, a Minister of the Crown.
