A person must not, in or in connection with an application under this Act or
the regulations, make a statement or provide information that the person knows
is false or misleading in a material particular.
: Maximum penalty--imprisonment for 14 years if the application relates to a pistol or prohibited firearm, or imprisonment for 5 years in any other case.
Note : Reference to a pistol includes a prohibited pistol.
