FAIR TRADING ACT 1987 - SECT 23H
Consent to deal with embargoed consumer goods or equipment or supply product related services
(1) If an embargo notice relating to consumer goods or equipment has been
given, the owner of the goods or equipment or another person who has an
interest in the goods or equipment may, in writing, request consent to do any
of the following-- (a) to supply the goods,
(b) to transfer, move, alter,
destroy or otherwise interfere with the goods or equipment.
(2) If an
embargo notice relating to product related services has been given, the
following persons may, in writing, request consent to supply the services--
(a) the person who would, but for the embargo notice, supply the services,
(b) another person whose interests would be affected if the services were not
supplied.
(3) Consent under this section may only be given by the Minister,
the Secretary or an investigator and must be in writing.
