FAIR TRADING ACT 1987 - SECT 9B
Advisory committees
(1) The Minister may appoint such advisory committees as the Minister
considers appropriate for the purpose of advising the Secretary in relation to
matters arising under section 9 (2).
(2) An advisory committee may include
one or more employees.
(3) An advisory committee has such functions in
relation to the provision of advice as the Minister directs.
(4) The Minister
may, at any time, do the following-- (a) terminate the appointment of a person
as a member of an advisory committee,
(b) dissolve an advisory committee.
(5) A member of an advisory committee-- (a) is entitled to receive such
travelling expenses, and
(b) except in the case of an employee, is entitled
to receive such fees for attending meetings and transacting business of the
committee,
as are fixed by the Minister.
(6) Subject to any directions of the
Minister, the procedure of an advisory committee appointed under this section
is to be determined by the advisory committee.
