Ad hoc communication with authorities
437 Ad hoc communication with authorities
(1) Without limiting any other functions that it has to seek or obtain
information, the designated local regulatory authority may communicate with
and obtain relevant information from Australian or foreign authorities or
courts in connection with the consideration of an application for a compliance
certificate.
(2) Without limiting any other power that it has to disclose
information, the Council, the Commissioner, the Admissions Committee or the
designated local regulatory authority may disclose information to a foreign
authority or court in response to a request for relevant information, but may
do so only if satisfied that it is not likely that the information provided
will be inappropriately disclosed by the foreign authority or court.
