Compliance with requirements about documents and other matters
93A Compliance with requirements about documents and other matters
(1) This section applies to a requirement referred to in section 93(1)(c) or
(d).
(2) A person who is subject to a requirement to which this section
applies must comply with the requirement. : Maximum penalty--the penalty
specified in the costs assessment rules in relation to a contravention of the
requirement (not exceeding 50 penalty units).
(3) If a person fails, without
reasonable excuse, to comply with a requirement to which this section applies,
the costs assessor or review panel may decline to deal with the application or
may continue to deal with the application on the basis of the information
provided.
(4) A failure by an Australian legal practitioner to comply with a
requirement to which this section applies without reasonable excuse is capable
of being unsatisfactory professional conduct or professional misconduct.
