Additional functions of police officers
14 Additional functions of police officers
(1) In addition to any other functions, a police officer has the functions
conferred or imposed on a constable by or under any law (including the common
law) of the State.
(2) Nothing in this section confers on a police officer a
power to exercise a function in a way that is inconsistent with any provisions
applicable to police officers under the
Law Enforcement (Powers and Responsibilities) Act 2002 .
