A power of attorney is effective to the extent that it concerns any act within
its scope that is of such a nature that is not beyond the understanding of the
principal through mental incapacity at the time of the act.
Note : Division 2 makes provision for enduring powers of attorney, which can have effect in relation to acts that are beyond the understanding of the principal through mental incapacity at the time of the act.
