Decision on proposal
31 Decision on proposal
(1) After considering any submissions that have been duly made concerning the
proposal, the roads authority may decide to proceed with the proposal, either
with or without alteration, or to abandon the proposal.
(2) On deciding to
proceed with the proposal, the roads authority may give effect to it by means
of an order published in the Gazette.
(3) The order must fix or vary the
levels of a public road by reference to a plan of levels held by the roads
authority.
(4) The order takes effect on the date on which it is published in
the Gazette.
(5) The roads authority must cause a notice of the effect of the
order to be published in a local newspaper.
