SURROGACY ACT 2010 - SECT 50
Notice to be given to other States
50 Notice to be given to other States
(1) The registrar of the Court is to give notice of a parentage order, or a
discharge of a parentage order, made by the Court in relation to a child whose
birth the registrar has reason to believe is registered in another State or a
Territory to the registering authority of the State or Territory.
(2) The
regulations may make provision for the form in which the notice is to be given
and the information required to be included in the notice.
(3) In this
section:
"registering authority" has the same meaning as it has in the
Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1995 .
