TERRORISM (HIGH RISK OFFENDERS) ACT 2017 - SECT 49
Warrant of committal
49 Warrant of committal
(1) As soon as practicable after making a continuing detention order,
interim detention order or emergency detention order in respect of an
eligible offender, the Supreme Court must issue a warrant for the committal of
the offender to a correctional centre for the period specified in the order.
(2) The warrant is sufficient authority-- (a) for any police officer to
convey, or arrest and convey, the eligible offender to the correctional centre
identified in the warrant, and
(b) for the governor of the
correctional centre to keep the eligible offender in his or her custody in
accordance with the terms of the warrant.
