(1) The objective of this clause is to protect, maintain or improve the diversity and stability of landscapes by--(a) restricting development on land that is generally unsuitable for development due to steep slopes, or shallow or erodible soils, and(b) restricting development on land with a high proportion of rock outcropping.
(2) This clause applies to land identified as "Constrained land" on the Natural Resources Land Map .
(3) Development consent must not be granted to development on land to which this clause applies unless the consent authority has considered the potential adverse impact on--(a) any land with a slope that is greater than 25%,(b) any land that is subject to high erosion potential,(c) any land with a high proportion of rock outcropping.
