This legislation has been repealed.
(1) The Director-General must cause every hospital to be visited and inspected from time to time by authorised officers, with or without any previous notice and at such time of the day or night as the Director-General thinks fit.
(2) An authorised officer:(a) may, at any time, make such inspections, investigations and inquiries as the authorised officer considers necessary, and(b) must make such inspections, investigations and inquiries as are directed by the Director-General,with respect to the care, treatment or control of patients or persons detained in a hospital or with respect to the management of a hospital.
