This legislation has been repealed.
(1) The following courses of action are available to the Commission in respect of a complaint made to the Commission or that the Commission has decided to make:(a) the Commission may refer the complaint to the Board or, after consultation with the Board, to a Committee or the Tribunal,(b) the Commission may refer the complaint for conciliation or deal with the complaint under Division 9 of Part 2 of the Health Care Complaints Act 1993 ,(c) the Commission may determine that no further action should be taken in respect of the complaint,(d) the Commission may take any other action that it can take under the Health Care Complaints Act 1993 .
(2) If the Commission refers a complaint to a Committee or the Tribunal, the Commission is to inform the Board accordingly.
(3) If the Commission refers a complaint to the Board, a Committee or the Tribunal, the Commission is to investigate the complaint or cause it to be investigated.
